This isnt Padmasmbhava – it’s an often repeated imaged generally called the Mongolia and the Tiger and it symbolises the Gelupa (Yellow Hat Buddhists), who are represented by the Mongolia, keeping the Nyigma (Red Hat Buddhists – of which Padmasambhava was the founder) on a tight chain in order to keep them controlled. It is – in a way – actually almost an anti Padmasambava painting
